Security Lending Product -
Apex is a broker custodian, variety of inventory of sales that it sits on - Which is getting lent out to other business like hedge funds, registered advisors, etc. - B2B - If someone comes to them for different purpose Apex will loan shares out ( collateral management , risk management, etc.) Hedge fund comes and says I need 100,000 shares of something - Apex looks into inventory and says yes this is available , this is how much we are going to charge for the loan - what the rebate is, what the interest rate is going to look like - Apex will loan them out, then Apex makes money and split profit with end consumer - Mostly like a home loan or a cash loan , mostly going to be business to business.
What the contractor will be working on is a Key product in this application . Which does all the loan processing, managing of the stocks , life cycle of the stocks , life cycle of the contracts, - and when they need to be recalled, for example, if there is a shortage on Apex side or if end consumer needs to recall the stocks back. A system used by trading desk has integration with vendor partners like FIS, Broadridge, lending pet etc. Where they get different data to make this decision
Most Focus will be on redesigning / rearchitecting the newer platform on google platform. Does still need to focus on existing system is 15 to 20 years old , written in business logic, sitting in store procedures. Monolithic led, C# being front end components.
